In our last Try This At Home video we looked at the buoyancy of aluminum in different shapes and talked about how it compares to density. In this video, we will be experimenting with liquids to see if we can make layers. If you try this at home you can try other liquids too including different types of oil, corn syrup or maple syrup, and rubbing alcohol. You can even make solutions with water and different amounts of salt (adding salt will increase the density).

Try This At Home: Buoyancy
In light of the state of the world right now where everyone is feeling like they need to stay at home, we put together a video with an experiment that you can do with things you probably already have in your house. Check out our new YouTube Channel and subscribe. We will be adding more content regularly.
Humans in Microgravity
In this episode, Leo will talk about what he learned about the musculoskeletal system when humans go into space. Then we will talk about how other systems of the body are impacted by minimal gravity. Which includes how to grow 2 inches and lose 4 inches from your waist.

Sourdough Bread
In this episode we will talk about the amazing micro-organisms that make delicious sourdough bread possible. Check out Rob Dunn’s TED talk about the microbes in sourdough bread making. I found instructions for making my own starter at King Arthur Flour. I’ve made regular and rye sourdough using these recipes.
Scientific Method
Our first episode is about how scientists actually do science. We talk about how the scientific method gets used and abused.
